I would have thought this was asked already, but a search isn't turning up much. I have an '07 Prius with NAV and it is very difficult to hear the NAV voice with the music on. I always thought the system was integrated so it would mute the music to speak (like it does when it wants a voice command). Is there anyway to get it to do this? Or, atleast lower the music volume more significantly?
So.. if you adjust the balance and the fade to the left front speaker, then it'd mute the radio! haha.
Weak! I thought an integrated NAV system would cooperate with the radio and lower the music volume when the NAV voice needs to speak.

I don't have to worry about missing directions from my guidance software since it automatically lowers the music volume when it has something to say. It'd be nice to see this in a future revision of the Prius nav.

My wife has the car, so I can't check - but in our Prius, the driver's side volume does go down when there is an instruction (also goes down for the "bong"). In addition, there is a control for the guided navigation volume, perhaps that needs to be increased.
