Can you overcharge the battery

    Can you damage the battery by overcharging them? Or where doses the charge go if all the bars are green, don’t want to damage the battery

    That doesn’t actually mean the battery is full;).

    It’s probably more like 80-85%:).

    The Toyota battery management system ensures the battery is protected (y).

    the engine will spin to burn off excess charge.

    otoh, your '05 battery probably isn't long for this world anyway. i would be prepping for a change.

    How fast does your battery charge and then drain?

    If it cycles between full and low on your screen, your battery is showing early signs of failure.

    If you let the car's own programming control the battery charging, no.

    If you're into cleverly defeating it, yes.

    It charges normally and drains slowly for now hope it will last at least 10k

    Can you help us by quantifying the drain and charge rates:

    If you put the ac on full blast, how long does it take to drain from a full start?
    When fully drained then going down a hill, how fast does it fill up and how many bars does it get to?

    We’re data driven folk, so anyway you can quantify, helps(y).
