Can't open rear driver side door from inside.

Dear PC friends,

I bought a few weeks back a used gen 3 prius from 08/2009 (Belgium). i'm very happy with it but there a several little things i noticed i would very much like to repair or fix.

most important : Rear driver side door can't be opened from inside. From outside it's no problem...

Before anyone asks... yes i tried flippping the lever of the child lock with no result. I still can't open the door from inside...

Could it be that the actuator is broken if it's only from the inside that the door won't open? can't find many people who had the same problem.
