I am getting a Prius and I am selling my Corolla. But when I check my car's record on carfax it shows extra records on my car. :angry: Is there anything I can do to prove that my car wasn't in a serious accident the report mentioned?
I believe Carfax obtains their information primarily from the DMV. How long are your lines at your local DMV? . As a starter, go here: http://www.carfax.com/pdf/consumerdcf.pdf and see if you are successful in getting the report amended. If not, it'll be a visit to the DMV for sure.
I had a one month Carfax subscription, so I queried for cars I had owned. One was listed as never owned and another sat unsold for a couple of years after I traded it in.
