Hello everyone thank you for the add. So I am working on a 2016 Prius c two. New 12v battery. Car doesn't recognize key fob button pushes. Headlights will turn on if I turn the switch on dome lights will turn on if I turn the switches on but do not turn on with the door being opened. The only thing the vehicle does is shows the mileage in which door is open on the gauge cluster. The push button start doesn't light up and nothing else seems to work. I'm new to working on hybrids and need some guidance I did try to plug a scan tool in The scan tool powers up based on I'm assuming power at the DLC I believe but won't read any modules or communicate with the car. The service plug is not tripped or anything like that nothing is visually wrong that I see so I don't know where to go from here and need input. Thank you all.
what does the 12v measure at the jump point under the hood? btw, you're in the wrong forum. report your post and ask a mod to move it to the appropriate forum for better eyes on it.
Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat I'd probably start looking at the main fuse box underhood.
My next move would be to get a subscription to Toyota's techinfo library and hit the factory service manual for "no start condition." You can get temporary subscriptions for cheap. Details in the link I posted earlier.
