The stiff part where you grab and pull has already started to split in just 4 months. It seems shoddily constructed, pretty much exactly like those cheap 3-ring binders. Anyone else having this problem? Is it covered under warranty?
I haven't taken mine out of the hatch storage yet. Do you have it on all the time? Are your windows tinted? I was wondering if the sun and heat could have weakened the plastic. I would think it would be covered since it was stock with the car and it is normal wear and tear.
Our 2010 cover developed the same problem after 5 years or so, despite careful usage. We’re not sure how to repair the split, but know enough not to use tape because the plasticizers in the flexible cover will quickly turn the adhesive into sticky, messy goo. Still looking for ideas on how repair or replace the windowshade rollup cover.
