lexus is selling a LOT of RX450h's it seems. Toyota selling like crazy. Best part of Toyota sales is that they sell more Corolla's and Rav4's that they can build, so they have lower than average inventory on those 6+ year old cars. Crazy. It seems to me that Toyota' brand reputation is back and people are willing to buy into badge again.
That was just saying the fleet sales moved from september to august this year, for year to year comparison. You would expect trucks to be a little down from last year because of that in this month. But the market has been shifting, its not really about fleet sales. More people are buying subcompact to mid sized cars and fewer are buying trucks. Its a multi year trend. The major statement out of gm was this, that they had a good month because they finally have small cars to sell - which is the direction the market is going.
