Ok check out the picture, is the cd area supposed to turn on? It just looks weird how there is a large expanse of glass and nothing turns on? I tried googling this question but no such luck.
Nope. There are little green LED lights in the selection buttons (IIRC) that light as appropriate. Otherwise nothing else.
Silly move on Toyota's part, just to prove they could integrate some (but not all) radio functions into the MFD. I agree with the OP that that big blank panel with the radio controls just looks dumb.
