2018 Prius Prime Advance (with the large touchscreen). Unfortunately it does not have Android Auto, so for directions/mapping I'm still mostly using my cell phone w/Bluetooth audio navigation. But it would be really useful to see map and upcoming turns in my field of view, and not look down to the cordless charging pad or be holding the phone (both against cell phone while driving laws). Since I doubt that Android Auto is coming soon to the Prius (and not a fan of the onboard dated navigation), is there a good/recommended mount that could place the phone screen more in the driver's field of view, such as the top of the touchscreen or the dash behind the steering wheel?
I've been using this now for about 7 months. Still nicely stuck to the dash on the left end. https://spc.tm/UU4fxJsr
A similar thread exists. Take a look at post #97 for how I did it. So far that's worked well. Only downside is that you have to rely on voice commands since it's hard to touch the phone behind the steering wheel. Not a problem for me since I don't touch my phone while driving anyways Premium and Advanced - where are you mounting your cell phone? | Page 5 | PriusChat
Thanks. I wonder how that got in there. Talk about a copy and paste failure!! And I was in too big of a hurry to notice.
