Loving my new-to-me 2009 Gen II, but have found the storage area under the center arm rest awkward to access. When fully opened, the cover only opens to about 80 degrees vertical or so. Because of where my seat back/shoulder/arm is positioned in relation to the cover, and the height to which the cover extends when opened, it is very awkward to reach into the storage area to retrieve anything that might be in there that I need. I actually have to lean forward in my seat and then angle my arm/hand backwards into the storage area. Does anyone know of, or has anyone modified their center arm rest to allow for a cover that opens past vertical or replaced the cover with something other than OEM that allows for easier access to the storage area underneath? Can post pictures if the above description isn't clear enough.
Unfortunately that console is not like an adjustable seat, one size does not fit all. If it's that hard to access, I would refrain from putting things in there. Or you can try moving your seat forward or backward to give you better accessibility while you're getting what you need
Your lucky..2010,s no longer have that perfect concealed carry box!!and the door storage is much smaller!
