Here is my Central Charging Station for my Prius, my Black & Decker battery-operated self propelled 19" lawnmower (great machine), and my battery operated string trimmer. I do have a 20 amp dedicated circuit for the Prius (as so annotated on the wall) the other outlet (not part of the dedicated circuit - hence the name "dedicated circuit") is used for the lawnmower and other electric accessories in the garage. Works well. I have Velcro'ed the charging circuit interrupting device (black box on the charging cord) to the table so that I do not pull the CCID off the table when I attach it to the car. It takes me approximately 45 seconds to start the car charging once I pull it into the garage. I have timed two charges and it seems to run right at 2 hours and 25 min. on the 110/120 V outlet. I have had the Prius now for exactly 3 weeks I have 560 miles on the tank of gas and I am one bar above half a tank!! No complaints there! In my Dodge Caravan I would have spent $124 for that mileage (560 miles / 18 mpg X $4.00 a gallon). Charge On! Rob
LOL - my wife looked at the photo and said "the dry wall looks terrible" - yeah it does - but it is 24 years old - I guess it is time to get'er reseamed and painted. The first 24 years were spent getting the kids educated, married and out of the house!!! (notice the multiple exclamation marks) Time and money are more available now! Yes I run the cord along the floor beside the PiP. It gets a bit "gritty" so I have a rag that I wipe the cord down with even other time to keep it clean. I roll it up (large loops) and hang it from a hook - very neat and tidy. Rob
