Hey everyone. I am new to Prius chat and kind of new to the Prius world. My Prius is a 2013 Prius, and it's not a Prius V. A few months ago I started getting a misfire every now and then on startup. It could sit for 30 minutes, and it would misfire but then go a few days without any misfire. It is very random. I had seen some videos on cleaning your EGR and its pipe, as well as fuel injectors. Today I decided to go ahead and pull my fuel injectors and the EGR pipe to see how dirty those parts were, and they were filthy. After reinstalling everything i went to start it back up. When I push the power button i get the orange triangle along with code u0100 twice. The ICE will try to start but misfire badly and then shut back down. I have checked all the connections I took off and all of them appear to be connected sung. What could be causing this?

What is probably wrong is probably what you don't want to hear probably has something to do with the fire being snuffed out by water intrusion into a cylinder through the gasket You can go round and round with this a while but at the end of the day more than likely something along these lines is happening and it's going to be a few thousand dollars depending upon the methodology you used to fix or get out of the problem We have pretty much phased out the generation 3 from our stable as we could not get good results with them for very long Not very Toyota like for somebody who's been with Toyota for about 46 years now We just weren't having it this is not the Toyota your parents had that's for sure not because it's a hybrid because it's planned obsolescence manufacturing anything after about 2009 is just that and they became very good at it above this year.
