I swear I looked in the manual, did a Google search and spent longer than I care to admit sitting in the car pressing buttons trying to figure this out. I would like to change the six POI Favorites that first pop-up (on the screen where at the bottom you can "List All Categories"). I know its possible, because the six that I have right now, I PUT THERE!! It was a long time ago and I just don't remember how I did it. I'm stumped!
POI equals Points Of Interest? Not trying to be churlish, was totally stumped: Poi (food) - Wikipedia
Yeah, the Points Of Interest where it can place on the map gas stations, fast food, etc. To get to where I'm talking about..... On the MAP screen, press SHOW ON MAP, then CHANGE POI On that next screen, there are six "favorite" POI's to add/delete from the screen, or you can choose LIST ALL CATEGORIES at the bottom to bring up others. I know you can modify the six favorites, because the ones that are listed for me, I put there! I remember at the time that the process seemed nice person backwards, but now I can't remember the process at all. Frustrating because I did it once.
Which manual are you looking in. Looking at pdf's (downloaded from Toyota Tech Info), I see it in the publication "Entune Premium Audio With Navigation App Suite" (what a mouthful...). POI starts at page 14.
Yep, I may have missed it, but that's one of the publications I looked through before posting the topic. I am not seeking to navigate to a POI. Rather, this is a map display function -- you can have the map display, for example, all of the McDonalds in the area as you drive. You can pick what categories you want displayed on the map (e.g. gas stations, parks, hotels, etc).
Went out to my car and walked through the steps. Here they are - starting with "menu" on right side of display screen. Then to navigation > detailed navi settings > favorite POI categories. Select the preset you want to change, change it to what you want that preset to be, hit OK.
THAT'S IT!! And your photos reminded me of the problem I had before, and was having this time. There is a DOWN button within the detailed navi settings to get to the FAVORITE menu. Missed that! Thanks for taking the time to help. This one was driving me crazy.
It drove me crazy the first time I did it as well. These menus (and the whole nav system in general) are very oddly organized.
