Just two weeks into owning our first Prius, a 2013 v. Check engine light came on, and the mechanic says we need a new charcoal canister. Is that the same as the vapor canister? Thanks
Yes. There seems to be a no. 1 and no. 2, which might be a v thing, it's different from what I remember of the Gen 3 liftback.
I'd be more concerned about what caused it to be damaged. Most likely, it from topping off the tank too much at the gas station.
