Can you charge the 12v battery from the same points that are used for jumping with a maintainer that has to be plugged into electrical outlet (under the hood) or does it have to be charged from the points on the battery under the seat? I have a 2016 prius c le.
Read your manual. Hence the name jump point. Just be careful with polarity a Prius is the last car you will want to do reverse polarity jump. if your a novice jumper buy a jump pack that has reverse polarity protection it won’t turn on if it detects it’s hooked up wrong. There handy and not expensive and could save you hundreds of dollars if you goof up. If you garage the car buy a charger/maintainer and leave it on the battery via the front jump point when not using it that way battery stays 100% charged at all times. Consistently killing the battery will destroy it. during covid we see many dead cars as they don’t drive much. Try to take your car for a ride every few days nice 10-15 mile highway drive it will keep both batteries charged. That’s what my wife does with her g2. good luck.
Do it ALL the time. Got tired of alligator clips and wired in a quick connect (that came with my CTEK charger).
Putting in those quick connects for battery tenders (other brands but same connectors) in all the cars was the first thing I did a year ago, after getting home from our road trip that was prematurely aborted by the pandemic lockdowns.
