Check engine code p261b

    Hello , we have a 2015 pruis . Last week the check engine light came on , had the code read and checked fluids . It threw the p261b code and added coolant fluid as it was low. The light went off on the way home . Figured it was the low fluid causing the light. Drove over 200 miles and the light came on again . Fluids are fine , same code .the light went off again after this . Does this sound like the water pump or something else ?

    That’s a code for the water pump, so it might be time to replace it;).

    How many miles on your Prius?

    Can you hear the pump run and is it noisy?

    Do the hoses on the discharge feel like they are warm once the car is on?
