I took my 2010 Prius into the local Toyota dealer after getting a “Check headlight system” notification. They advised that the body control module is defective. It was not communicating with the left headlight and the control module needed to be replaced. The headlights (LED) are fully operational. I sent the module to a rebuilding facility and was told that the module was not defective and was in fact fully operational.
This leads me to believe that it’s a wiring issue. Can anyone tell me the colour codes for the wires that are responsible?

2010 LED I did not think in these markets and year had LED driving or headlights ????. I assume the car front bumper cover has never been tapped against another object . Or wrecked? And if LED they certainly aren't pulling much current .so just faulty wiring is a crap shoot it seems

2010 had LED headlights in the V trim (not to be confused with the Prius v wagon, which didn't exist in 2010).

I think the message could either be about the LED driver modules or about the leveling system that keeps the beams aimed.

+1 on getting the trouble codes (ask the dealer for the ones they saw, or use a scan tool that can get them, and get them yourself), then following the troubleshooting steps in the repair manual.
