Thanks to an EE Times email newsletter, I learned about a Volt teardown that's now complete. See DriveforInnovation's Channel - YouTube. The folks at GM Volt have a thread on this and have pointed to Going (literally) under the hood with the Volt | Drive For Innovation – AVNETExpress. I haven't watched any of these videos myself yet.
