Read this news: Chrysler recalls 600,000 cars worldwide. Braking problems, sticking gas pedals and faulty wiring which may cause fire.
Why'd you tell us this? Surely this will be all over the news by tomorrow, the US Government will have the directors of Chrysler up before a tribunal and oh sorry, Chrysler is a US company so nothing will happen and the news will be brushed under the carpet. :mod:
And how many of these are hybrid? I know Chrysler makes a 18mpg SUV hybrid ... unless they've already pulled the plug on it. I know Chrysler advertises a "Life Time" warranty ... (ONLY to original owner ... and NOT on its hybrid components ) Meah ... I'd hardly call it hybrid news worthy.
BP seems to be making progress on their well. Everybody else needs to rush out as much of their bad news as possible while BP is still absorbing the worst of the headlines.
I saw some headlines about it and I think I heard about it on Nightly Business Report. Anyhow, this isn't hybrid relatd and should be moved.
Well perhaps it should be moved to more relevant section rather than Prius & Hybrid News. Still interesting about the recalls though.
I heard the recall was 1.5 million cars. And the customers are being paid $100 each for their troubles. Is this GM's money, or taxpayers', I wonder?
Oops. You're right - I was reading an article about GM. Still, the one about Chrysler says over a million recalls worldwide. What's a few hundred thousand, give or take?
