There are several crowd-sourcing data collections done in the field already. Based on flowers, flowering times, and non-cryptic 'charismatic' animals. A short course is at our field station now, discussing ways to do more of that, focusing on smart phones as a platform. I have some ideas, and if any of you want to add yours, here would be the place. Good ideas will make you rich and famous beyond imagination, and probably net you the Nobel Prize* *um, not really
