Hello! I have a 2011 Prius. When I set the vents to blow air out of the dash several minutes later the climate control re-directs the air flow to the floor. When I “re-select” the vent direction to blow the air out of the dash mounted vents the AC button illuminates. I then de-select AC and then several min later the airflow re-directs to the floor again repeating the cycle. I would like to specify that the “AUTO” button is “NOT” illuminated when all of these shenanigans are occurring. Any advice or first hand experience on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

    * I did search the forums before posting this question but the threads that I found did not come to a resolution. The photo is only to illustrate the style of climate control panel in my Prius.

    Thank you Prius Chat!

That's just like my 2010 solar roof loaded Prius we've never had that issue happen before sounds like there's a vacuum problem or something but the experts will be a long shortly and go through all the stuff. I'm guessing you don't have any code set I would just be curious to scan the car because there is climate control computers that you just can't see what's wrong because it's all electrical so it's possible there's a code set I don't know if there's a bunch of codes for the damper doors or the vacuum in that system are exactly how it works but I want to say it seems to be like old Fords where all that stuff is controlled by vacuum?
