September 7, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - A furious Bill Clinton is warning ABC that its mini-series "The Path to 9/11" grossly misrepresents his pursuit of Osama bin Laden - and he is demanding the network "pull the drama" if changes aren't made. What do you guys think?
I say they should air it... BUT they should expound upon, in great length, how Reagan and Bush I funded OBL and his Taliban buddies. Fair is, after all, fair.
I think he's had it with people like you who accuse him of things he didn't do, like arming North Korea with nukes.
Personally, if I felt that I were being misrepresented, I'd be furious also. I think anyone would be. Especially on a topic as important as this on. I don't know all the ins and outs of what occured behind all the doors with all the people from all the countries. I fear that most of America likewise doesn't. So I think it is easy for someone to make a movie/miniseries claiming to show all the things that took place. Since the vast majority of the American public is in the dark to begin with, they are easily swayed to believe that any story is true. Micheal Moore did that very well with F/911 and Consumer Reports did it very well with inacurate hybrid figures.

No, they shouldn't pull it, but they need to emphesis that is is a fictional account...a docudrama, not a documentary.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dragonfly @ Sep 7 2006, 04:39 PM) </div> Why falsely accuse Clinton of arming the North Koreans when you can truthfully accuse Reagan and Bush I of arming, funding, and encouraging OBL and his Taliban buddies?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Jonnycat26 @ Sep 7 2006, 05:03 PM) </div> Would you want ABC to pull the miniseries.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Sep 7 2006, 05:04 PM) </div> No, but I think they need to put in the parts about Reagan and Bush creating the Taliban. Don't you?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dragonfly @ Sep 7 2006, 05:22 PM) </div> What mistake
I'm actually surprised that something out of Hollywood is actually attacking a Democratic president. It shouldn't be pulled. This is America. Freedom of Speech, whether we agree or disagree. If people are ignorant enough to accept the truth from a movie or drama, that's their problem.
