Code P0340 and U0100 after resealing timing cover

    Just resealed timing cover on my gen 3. Car will start for a second then engine shuts down and all lights come on dash and it throws these 2 codes.
    P0340 “Camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 1 or single sensor”
    U0100 “lost communication with ECM/PCM A”

    Gonna check to see if my timing is off and also gonna test battery. Besides that I’ve checked all sensors and fuses etc that could be causing these issues. Anyone seen these codes after doing timing cover?

    did you have to jack up the engine to do the reseal?
