I boought this code scanner new on E-Bay, would it hurt my PIP to try it? thanks Dennis I will try to load a pic of it, hope it works
Wow, a long time since you posted. If it's a good quality OBD-II scanner, it shouldn't. I don't know if this is excess caution, but my instructions told me to plug in w system off. My manual says if you are trying to read a check engine light code, the engine will need to be "started" (Ready for PiP). I turned the system off before disconnecting. My first time, so I don't know if this is excessive caution.
reincarnation! If your PiP has an active code (probably showing Check Engine Light) can you see it in the diagnostic screen? [One way to enter diag screen. From off, foot off brake, power button twice. press audio while turning headlights on and off three times. The diag screen info came from this forum!]
