So about a week ago I got a messege on my 2015 prius c saying cooling performance of the hybrid battery is low, visit your dealer. the messege went away the next day but i took the car in for maintenece and they said I wouldnt worry about it. a week later I got the messege again so i removd the rear seats and cleaned out the fan and the vent, but the messege still comes up. I also noticed there was no air filter which is weird but ok. Is this covered under the factory warrenty???? Is it something I can fix on my own???? Thanks again
When you get the error again take it back to the dealer. There is something wrong. Don't take the don't worry about it answer. If they still give you that answer. Take it to another dealer. Don't let them push it off.
It all depends when you bought the car and how many miles... normal warranty in the U.S. Is 2 years or 24,000 miles if you are out of warranty, ask nicely to see if they can look at the issue. You can always ask them to limit the amount of time troubleshooting the issue so you don't go broke.
Don't you just love dealer service. The "it's really no problem, don't worry about it" is a code for "I don't want to have to fix the problem -- go away".
