I've been looking for a single cable that uses just the lower port on my iPhone for both charging and to bring in audio. Besides the mess of 2 separate chords going into different ends of the phone, the lower port for audio (like a BOSE SoundDock would interface with) brings better sound then the headphone jack. Anyway... the Kensington LiquidAux is discussed a lot, but it's awfully pricey. I found a couple different ones on Amazon for under $10. First one I tried didn't charge my iPhone 3G.
