I rode in my cousins brand new BMW SUV yesterday and sure am glad I have a Prius. It rode very roughly and has very uncomfortable seats. In spite of electric every-which-way adjustment, they are just too un-padded and hard and not long and wide enough to be comfortable for me. It has some nice bells and whistles (a warning when you get closer than a foot from a car in front or behind you when parking is nice). I thought the dash and instrumentation was very cluttered compared to Prius and speedometer was very small. It was nicely finished (as it should be for the price). It didn't seem to have all that much room. It's tall, but the floor is very high, so little is gained in interior height. I supposed much of this is true of all SUVs-I've only ridden in a couple others, but thought that for the price the BMW would feel better.
