Compartment underneath the CD player

    Does anybody know what is the actual usable size of the compartment underneath the cd player after removing the plastic piece that's in there?
    Can a standard CD/MP3 player be installed in that space? What is the actual depth that you reach there?

    How do you remove the plastic bits below the radio? (without trashing same)
    Is the 12V wiring accessable after removing it, or do more bits need to be removed?
