What is the compression ratio of the v's engine? More than 10:1 ?? What octane rating gas so you use?

OOPS! Thanks RJ, I totally missed the replies on that 1st query. (duuuhhh!) But yeah, the valve timing method that Toyota uses to achieve an Atkinson cycle does likely vary the compression ratio throughout the rev range. I've always used premium gas in my v. But out west (west of the Missisippi River) we only get 93 RON gas unless we want to pay over $4.00/gallon for race gas - IF you can find it. I used to very occasionally use 100 octane gas in my '93 RX-7 and it really improved the throttle response. Plus I loved the smell of that stuff. "Gearhead Perfume".
