After looking into this PiP battery cutout picture, it looks like the packaging is so neat, If the price makes sense to connect these two in parallel to double the battery power is not too bad. Has anybody explored this path ?.
How would you cool it? You'd also need to tell the battery ECU (and maybe others) about the extra capacity.
I think you are going to have half the resistance and twice the current draw trying to charge those batteries. I do not think the inverter is going to like that, Yogi. Series and parallel circuits - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"2012 Prius approximately cost about $3300 to replace it" per email from my 'Sales Guy' who sold me PiP. Cooling the battery should be build into the battery, if not, its some sort of hurdle. Getting a right techie to do this work is another sort of hurdle.
