    Hello everyone!

So, I currently drive a 2008 smart fortwo. It's been great, and has met my needs. But it's getting older, has 90,000 miles on it, and I'm ready for something quieter, smoother, and as good/better on gas than the smart. So, Prius fits the bill!

I know the navigation system from Toyota might not have been the best in 2010, but I still like the functionality of the bluetooth phone/audio via the touch screen, as well as having the navigation available without cords. So, I've considered that a requirement. But, it sure limits my options, in terms of keeping the cost down.

For example, I'm currently looking at one with 50000 miles on it, it's a Five, has the LED headlights, heated bisque leather, fancy white exterior, no sunroof, but does have the navigation. It is certified. Carfax looks good on it. They want $18500. Does that seem like too much money to spend on a hybrid with 50,000 miles on it? My car new was $16500 with heated leather, rain sensing wipers, auto everything... but only half a car... I've only once spent more than $17K for a car, and it was brand new ('03 Accord Coupe EX-L Nav). So, spending $18,500 for a very nice, but well run Prius seems a little scary.

Should I be nervous or excited?

Thanks for your feedback! Can't wait to finally own a Prius. I've wanted one since back when I was a Toyota salesman in Boston when the Prius first came out.

welcome to priuschat. i would be excited! i was when i bought all 3 of my pri and still am. price seems reasonable, you could offer a few thousand less and see what they come back with. your paying a lot to get the pkg v, because a brand new II is probably only a few thousand more. all the best!(y)
