So I'm going thru the papers, manuals ect. that came with my 2010 Pkg.2 Prius. I was reading the maintaince schedule and it says to change the ICE and Inverter coolant at 100k mi. But there is a little number 3 next to it, so I read the footnote (after getting a magnifying glass LOL ) and the first sentence says Initial change at 100k mi, thereafter every 50k mi. But then right under it the next sentence says, Initial coolant change 150k mi then every 50k mi thereafter??? So which is it 100k or 150k. And if your using the same coolant why should it be replaced every 50k mi. You would think that it should be good for another 100 or 150kmi.

100k mi is for engine coolant, 150k mi for inverter coolant.

The water pump no longer working at its best therefore your coolant change is much sooner. However, that is if your water pump last that longer after 100k miles.

(This is a wild guess) Toyota has paranoid worries about getting contaminants in the inverter, so they risk running 150k to keep it sealed. Once it is ever opened, they advise the 50k they would like to have specified, if if they weren't so worried.
