Hi. We were trolacing the control arm on the passenger side. And while trying to drop the subframe to remove a bolt out of the lower passenger control arm, the head of the bolt snapped. We were able to get an easy out in it with a bit of progress until the easy out snapped. After tons of drilling we broke the housing that the bolt screws into. Question: is it safe to drill a hole into the circled area just to fit a nut to be able to attach a new bolt? Or will that greatly compromise the integrity of the main frame?

Looks like you'll be okay with that try to drill the smallest whole possible even if you have to tap the bolt through with a hammer gently Just keep it as tight as possible and then of course you'll be able to stick your finger or a magnet in there and move it around and get it lined up with your bolt coming through and should be good to go I should outlast the car You know we have to do stuff like this on other cars sometimes when we're putting on towing receivers.
