Hi. I am wondering if anyone changed their foglights to HID? I have read posts of people converting their headlights to HID (if they didn't come from factory already) but I haven't read anything about fog lights. I would like to change mine to Halogen. The current fog lights don't do much and it looks weird at night since they are a different color than my headlights which are HID. If you have changed over to HID what kit did you buy/recommend?

Re: Convert Fog Lights to Halogen Lots of fog light mods in the mods section. I have Silverstar Ultras in mine, and they look better (as a more normal color compared to the HID headlights). As for usefulness, they'd make an OK nightlight in a baby's room.
I think my headlights from factory are HID. Isn't the HID lights the ones that show a blueish color? If so that is what I would like for my fog lights. Sorry for the confusion.

you can purchase a 9006 HID kit on ebay with the bulbs for like 80 bucks thats a direct plug and play, but you need to put the transformers in a good place
There are 2 choices for the wattage for the ballast. There's 35W and 55W. Which should I choose? Is the 55W ballast to "big"? The factory halogen I believe is 55W. Not sure if this is relevant.
