In some weird sense, I think it has... I find it lets my mind switch, break away in a totally different direction, if, say, I'm doing some in depth research. Sort of like a shock, to the system if you will... Sort of like pulling out the drill bit, and jamming it down farther next time in... Hmmm...
For most tasks it is good to break away from what you are doing for a short period. The benefit of breaking away to something like PC is that it enhances your communication skills (ie;certain jokesters lately causing the mind to flex), makes you laugh and actually acts as an informational resource. I don't do any other Chat stuff. PC is fun because it is (mostly) light hearted and about my favorite car. Maybe I should do some work now!
I don't think my boss thinks so... but until he gives me something to work on, I don't care. : ) It's Friday!!!
