The OEM part for the Gen3 Prius rear axle support bushing is 48725-47030

I find no alternative for that named part... but quite a few for that P/N... including:
Mevotech MS86405 Rear Lower, Trailing Arm Bushing
    More Information for MEVOTECH MS86405

Could that be the right part?

I've had good experiences with MevoTech. And Rock Auto sells several other parts, including an Economy MevoTech, and a Delphi TD1978W (which supposedly replaces a few parts including this OEM part...)

A lot of those butchings on sports and imports are the same bushing throughout several generations of cars makes and models seems to be a popular size press in bushing long as you have the given hole size for the bolt that has to go through it and it's the right diameter for the press should be good to go.

With the amount of labor needed to replace the bushing. I'd choose OEM.

Yeah I can't imagine the Toyota bushing being all that bad and then all the aftermarket people the suspension people Cusco eibach All should have something for it too seems to be a standard size or a well-used size I'm not sure I see all the labor involved hell when the wheel is off and you're doing a brake job doesn't look like it would be too fierce to get the lower control arm off and do what you need to do or just replace the lower control arm with another one I haven't looked up the part to see what it cost yet I guess by today's standards it's probably ridiculous but I don't know.

OEM: $118 each list price plus tax, $236+tax
    OEM discounted for 2: $156 + $10 shipping + tax, $166+tax
RockAuto MevoTech (lifetime warranty not that it matters - as @georgina says, in this case the effort is significant)
    BUT... MevoTech at RockAuto for 2: $33.40 + $10 shipping + tax, $43+tax

(COULD do Amayama in Japan, OEM for 2: $56 + $30 ship + tax, $86 + tax kinda-slow-boat... IF I believe the shipping.)

4x the cost for OEM, $120 extra. That's real money for me. I trust MevoTech...

You are talking about prices for just the round bushing here correct we're not comparing the whole control arm to the bushing or anything like this? Labour to what press the bushing in and out I have a matco kit for this looks like a big c clamp essentially. And one of my shops that I regularly go to has a big old press.

I see the whole control arm for $97 $130 so on $59 from somewhere or just did a quick Google search just the lower control arm looks like it has the bushing in it etc doesn't come with the ball joint I don't think that just screws in I usually have that mounted and leave it on hub .

This is the REAR solid-axle support bushing. NOT a front control arm. ;)

On small items I've never been charged tax. Maybe some threshold, above which they have to charge tax, but my orders have been as much as $100 CDN. Shipping took about 7~10 days.

It's a USA thing: laws changed a few years ago allowing states to require online vendors to charge sales tax.
In fact, Colorado adds one more nasty: every order delivered by a motor vehicle (??!!) must have a ~27 cent "retail delivery fee" added.

LOL. Why is everything harder than necessary?
The axle beam suddenly showed up. I immediately called the vendor: this is NOT my axle beam.
    • Prius: opens toward the ground; has large mount plate for spring and mount for shocks.
    • Corolla: opens toward the back; no mount plate for spring or shocks
    • (AND: no paperwork, never got an indication it had been shipped! Real process problems...)
I nicely called. They were more than a little shocked, and promise to fix this ASAP.
For now I am being nice: legally, I could get my money back and NOT return this one. In the US if you are shipped a product you did not order, legally you own it as a gift... for now I am NOT doing that.
