I have a 2010 prius V that has recently gotten very creaky. Mainly when I go over little bumps. Very annoying. I love my Prius except for this, Also my radio vibrates when theres even a teeny tiny bit too much bass. Ive brought the car to dealer about that and they said they can't do anything about that. And of course car didn't creak when we drove around. I swear the car knew I had dealer in the car grrrr. Anyone with these situations?
Yes....ALOT of people have already mentioned this. Seems to occur mostly when it's cold. Which fortunately isn't that often in Florida!
I had some creaking too and found where the shifter console joins the center armrest console right, it rubs on the sides. I temporarily stuck a couple pieces of paper in between each side and that stopped it. Last week, I had another creak pop up but found it was the junk I had in the cubby space below - just shifted it around and it stopped. The problem is when they designed hard plastic surfaces that come together without anything in between to isolate the two surfaces, eventually it will start creaking. Another thread shows how to eliminate it too - I took the quick and dirty way out as it was just annoying me to no end one day. I'll do a permanent fix soon.
