My cruise control icon is greyed out on my heads up display, the dial icon with the arrow pointing to 11:00. I can’t get that icon to disappear. The cruise isn’t on. The manual says to cancel the cruise either press the driving assist button or press the cancel button. I have done that. Is it normal to have that icon showing but greyed out on the heads up display when the cruise isn’t on? If it shouldn’t be there when the cruise is off can someone tell me how to disappear that icon.
Yes, I believe that's normal. White=off, Green=on, Yellow=problem Plus, there are two different icons-one for adaptive and one for 'normal'
Thanks for the reply. When I turned my car on today the adaptive cruise control icon replaced the cruise control icon on my heads up display! Gremlins?
Many settings are not preserved across power cycles. Maybe cruise control mode always resets to adaptive.
That was the first thing I turned off, based on what I read here. I gave the lane departure assist a chance, but I finally disabled it. It got too annoying for me, after a while. Perhaps on a long interstate trip... If I want to go more 'auto', I can turn on adaptive cruise.
And I spent a couple hours yesterday fooling around with album art. I still don't know how GraceNote updates its crappy database. Although, I didn't look at that aspect too deeply.
