cruise control issue on 5th day of ownership

    Picked up my PriusV on Monday. Used cruise a few times throughout the week. On the way to work Saturday the cruise did not work for my wife. She would turn it on, set it, and nothing, Today,Sunday,she drove it and it worked fine. Anyone else having this issue ??

    You need to get that fixed under warranty. The Prius is one of the most reliable cars on this little planet, so get the cruise fixed so you can get back to enjoying your Prius.

    take it out yourself and try it a few hundred times. she might have been mistaken.:)

    Hint: The cruise control will not engage if the gear shift is in "B" instead of "D."

    When she presses the button at the end of the lever, does the cruise control indicator come on on the instrument panel?

    When she pushes down the lever does the SET indicator on the instrument panel come on?

    If yes to both, maybe she is following a car that is going slower than what the cruise control setting is. If the cruise is set to 50 (as shown inside the cruise control indicator window) and the car in front is going 40, she's gonna go 40. Or....maybe it's broken.

    FYI, I brought my Prius V in a few days after I bought it because I thought the DCC was broken. It was the Wozniak syndrome that got me.

    He only has the nav pack, so it's only a dumb cruise.
