Having twice scraped the bottom of my new 2013 PIP's front end, I am considering buying a Curb-Alert Pro. Does anyone have any experience with this gadget and the pros and cons associated with it for a PIP? TIA!
Never heard of this item. My Lexus IS is factory lowered (sits low) and I've scrapped the "underneath" of the front end twice in three years. ALWAYS anticipate when pulling into a parking space that the curb or any stop will damage the front end of your car, and approach with caution. I've had my Prius for eight months and no issues yet. It sit higher, but parking front first is always a potential problem.
My problem is I can't judge where the front of the Prius is. I always end up getting out, looking, realizing I'm too far back, getting back in, pulling forward a bit, repeat.
So no-one is familiar with Curb-Alert pro. Besides dancing in and out of the car checking distance from curb to bumper, is there any other gizmo or approach to avoid bumper (c)rash?
I'm surprised no one has a bumper cam product?? A camera mounted on the front license would be perfect.. hmmm.. did I just give up a new idea?
I thought the same thing, but apparently the young people have never heard of these things. Plus, in a forward facing application, they would make the Prius look like a catfish.
