I am looking to get one for a tiny trailer (4x4) and a bike rack, anyone have experience in it? Thanks I kind of like the Curt because of its $140 and easy to install price tag
Keep in mind - that is not a 2" hitch. 2" hitches are more durable, and there's more stuff readily available to plug in (search the forum).
Prius owners have been using the Curt hitches for many years. Lots of info on them here at Prius Chat if you poke around a bit. Here is my page on it. I had the first one and helped design the current model. Prius Hitch 2" hitches offer very little advantage for the Prius. You don't want to tow or carry anything that a 1.25" hitch won't allow. the 2" hitch is going to be heavier and bulkier. And today almost EVERYTHING comes in a 1.25" version, so you lose almost nothing going with what I think is the ideal size of receiver for the Prius - 1.25"
You can also change the 1.25 to a 2" pretty easily. I will only be carrying a bike rack and maybe a small trailer (doubt it)
I have a Curt on my 2010 Prius and it fitted exceptionally easily (maybe a 20 minute job in total) and looks very neat and unobtrusive without the ball hitch fitted - you wouldn't notice that it was fitted unless you specifically went looking for it. I only tow a light boat trailer, but have found it to be just fine. Only slight issue is the rattle from the ball hitch part - it's a bit loose in the receiver. I fixed this with some thin stainless steel shim fitted to the top and bottom of the ball hitch plug-in bar. Jeremy
