Hey guys, so I got my windows tinted the other day and after getting my car back I noticed the locks made a weird noise when driving away. I check it out today and it looks like they somehow pushed my door handle which makes me have to manually lock the door and I can’t use the button. Is this an easy fix?
welcome! not sure what you mean exactly. at what speed did the locks make a weird noise? is it programmed for auto door lock? what do you mean by 'pushed my door handle'? it looks fine in the picture. which button can't you use? inside? outside? fob? could they have drained the 12v while working?
Happy bashed his knee into it while he was kneeling or crouching leaning back trying to put the tent on the inside of the window these door panels on these threes are really flimsy my wife is broken too the armrest literally come undone from the plastic the plastic weld comes undone not the issue here but you could put enough pressure on that door handle where it could pop in bend the linkage enough and then when it popped back out it might not work that is possible when you push the button do you hear the distinct clicking of the door lock motor solenoid activating or deactivating whatever the case may be?
Most likely you pull that door panel off and put everything back in place and you're done. Or take it back and have them do it...
I did that when it diy tint the windows, pulling the panels off made easier to tint. The tint place probably goofed up the ball cable reassembly or broke the plastic housing that the ball cable hangs on
