Dark Gray Interior - whitish marks

    NEW car (5 days) with dark gray interior. (2012 - Model 4) On the glove box mainly where someone has reached out a finger to touch or wipe a piece of dust off, there is a mark, sort of white or lighter gray. Does not appear really to be a scratch.

    I want to attack quickly, but not to do (more?) damage.

    Any ideas what it is, or what I can do?

    [Thinking here, if it was a plush carpet, it almost looks like when you walk on it, vacuum it, or run a finger thru it, and the fibers change direction, if that makes any sense)

    It does mark easily but not permanently. I keep a hand "Swiffer' tucked under the left side of the floor mat and just a touch of it removes the white marks and all the dust on other parts of the dash.

    Well, I took a micro-fiber to it today, and voila, it was gone!
