dark mode not working i

i'm finding more issues with android auto :
google maps: directions voice mutes suddenly when playing music on Spotify
dark mode: dark mode doesn't work automatically. I was told by the dealership to switch off the daytime running lights to switch the screen to dark mode and it does, but is annoying to do it manually back and forth every day (morning to bright, evening to dark).
music or google maps display don't resume after finishing phone calls: if I'm driving using google mas and i receive a call , the display turns to phone mode, when i hung up, the display doesn't return to google maps.
bottom line : I never had those issue using my android phone with my previous car that had android auto. so frustrating!
