I am new to this thread and a fresh owner of a 2012 Prius with solar sunroof. I could not find in the user manual info about these two items shown in the photos attached: The switch above the card holder The 'thing' next to the HUD display Thank you in advance for your help.
Can't help you with the first one mate as it appears to be an aftermarket installation of some kind. However, with the second thing next to the HUD, it looks like an aftermarket backup sensor with visual cues. If you reverse towards an object, does it light up from the outside towards the centre? If so, then that's an aftermarket rear parking sensors.
Thank you Tideland Prius, They seem to be related. It looks like being some sensor. I turned it on but still have to make sense of what it does. It has orange LEDs on the outside and red ones (2) in the middle. I attached a pic taken in my driveway.
