    Hi all,

I recently went on vacation for a week and came back to my Prius with all kinds of dash lights. I have a 2007 Prius with just over 200k. Car seems to be running fine despite the lights. Should I be concerned?

Will the car ready and drive take it for a spin 8 or 10 mi or so then when you get back to your driveway turn the car completely off Wait a few minutes and reboot the car and see if the lights are still there If so read the codes.

Usually dash lights after your old Prius has been sitting for a while means some of the cells have self-discharged faster than others and the pack is no longer balanced. Putting the pack on a high voltage trickle charger overnight will charge & balance the pack to fix that.

Those lights turned on for a reason. The "master warning light" (RToD) is typically set by some type of fault in the hybrid drive system.

The other lights are often the result of various systems saying, "hey, the hybrid system says it's got a problem, you should go over there and check it out".

    But that's a guess.

You should use a capable scantool to check all systems for codes. Maybe it's "minor", maybe it's a warning for something that will leave you stranded somewhere.

Here's a thread that reviews several scantool apps and devices - some are "all system" capable. Particularly post 37.
