I noticed that when I turn on my headlights, it causes my dashboard lights to change. If I am driving and it is light out, the lights stay bright, per how I have it adjusted. However, when I go under a tunnel or something, the lights dim by themselves. NJ law requires headlights to be on when it is raining (day or night) which is why I have the headlights on during the day. Is this working as designed? Any suggested fix to avoid the lights dimming on their own when going under a tunnel or something?
On my Prius c there's a click-stop position on the dashboard light dimmer control which locks the illumination at full brightness. The v probably has the same thing.
Yes, the v does have the option on the dashboard light dimmer control to set/lock the illumination to full brightness.
