Does the dashboard on a Prius tend to fade over time? Is there a preservative for printing either that or reducing scratches, etc.? Thanx. Gary

Use 303 Aerospace Protectant on everything that's plastic, vinyl or rubber inside or outside the car. You can thank me later, since you'll have no idea how good the stuff is until you use it.
What Year Prius are You Talking About? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BayouBulldog @ Apr 6 2006, 11:22 PM) </div> I also use 303 Aerospace Protectant on both the textured forward part near the windshield and the textured rounded part near the driver/passenger section of my 06 Prius. If you have an 04/05 don't use 303 on the painted rounded driver/passenger section; it get's too oily and it didn't hide scratches on my 05. Please post your Prius year/package in your signature. It really helps your fellow members when responding to questions like this.
The best dash preservative is a custom fitted Sunshade. Some Toyota dealers sell a nice one; make sure the strap is stitched on, not glued. To avoid scratching use a Swiffer duster.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(darelldd @ Apr 6 2006, 11:36 PM) </div> I've heard this mentioned here before...could you give me an idea of why it's so good/what it does/where I can buy it?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BellBoy @ Apr 7 2006, 08:08 AM) </div> Many places to buy it - this is where I get mine by the gallon: http://performanceproducts.com/productpage...=303+Protectant Here is the 303 site It is non-silicone. Excellent UV inhibitors. Won't vaporize up to the glass. Makes things look "new" not "wet and oily." What can I say? I just love the stuff, and use it on everything that holds still long enough. I spray it on many of my outdoor fabrics as well (bags that stay on my bike, boating stuff, etc). I haven't yet found anything that it harms - including paint (though it will streak until you polish it all off again). I have used it for 15 or 20 years and recommend it to everybody. Nobody has complained yet!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(darelldd @ Apr 7 2006, 10:56 AM) </div> Any idea what's it's made out of? Scented water?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BellBoy @ Apr 7 2006, 10:59 AM) </div> More like milk. I added the 303 link to the post above. Check it out.
