After driving my Prius for some time I've become interested in whether the Prius maintains detailed logs of information gathered over the course of driving. I know it maintains running averages of broad details like MPG, but take, say, the regenerative braking data displayed on the fifteen-minute chart on the display. Does that all vanish into the ether the moment it passes beyond the fifteen minute window, or does the computer hold onto it in some fashion? If it does hold onto any of it, is it a detailed break-down (meaning it holds a log of each minute's reclaimed energy) or just general details like with the running MPG figure? I'd love to find out what's known about this stuff. Stored info about regenerative braking in particular would be cool, as I'm very curious as to when and how much energy was reclaimed during braking, but any other information the computer keeps around would also be fascinating. Thanks in advance!
