After my previous anti-DCH Brunswick thread, I figured I should post a redemption thread. The new manager (I guess of Customer Service?) Matt called me a few weeks ago about a complaint I had put in with Consumer Affairs. He asked me what had happened and I gave him the story, including how another dealer (Toyota Universe) had been able to locate the car for me and said any dealer could do this. He said that it wasn't possible to have an "unclaimed" Prius and that many cars are preferenced, so it's hard to actually get the car you want without swapping it. He said he would see what he could do. I kept it in the back of my head but didn't take it to heart because others from there had made that claim before. (And since I didn't have the car from the other dealer, I figured he'd disregard the complaint as having no weight). But Monday he called and said the car was there. It was unbelievable! wouldn't believe it until i saw it. We went in and it was so surreal. The driver's manual was there, I was signing all sorts of papers. I was actually getting my car...not within a few days, not within a week or 2, but it was being washed and readied for me to DRIVE IT HOME! So, in short, thanks to the new manager (who's a really nice guy, and who said he's had to deal with a lot of problems since taking over), I have my car. My salesman's name was Ray A. and he's also a really nice guy.
